Team Green - AS Scan Question

Did you announce right away to the technician that you didn't want to know the sex?  I don't want to sound obnoxious?but I feel like if I don?t announce it to them right away they will slip.

    It's recommended that you say it ASAP. I recommend it too! If you want to stay team green speak up!

    My doctor told me to tell them right away and at every ultrasound.  That way they don't say anything and don't write it in the chart (so the doc never knows either).  Mine is in Feb, can't wait!!  Good luck with yours!

    TTC since August 2011 (Me-29, DH-32).
    4/28/2012 - SA: 5% motility.
    5/21/2012 - SA: same results.
    Only shot is IVF (ICSI)
    5/31/2012 - HSG: all clear
    6/22/2012 - appt with RE, confirmed ICSI is necessary.
    8/3/2012 - First IVF Monitoring Appointment
    8/17/2012 - Egg Retrieval (retrieved 23 eggs, 3 made it to freezer)
    8/18/2012 - OHSS - hospitalized, need to wait one cycle to transfer embryo(s) due to OHSS
    8/29/2012 - begin meds for frozen cycle
    10/12/2012 - FET one embryo
    10/24/2012 - Beta #1: 442
    10/26/2012 - Beta #2: 947
    10/29/2012 - Beta #3: 2900!
    11/15/2012 - first u/s: baby measuring perfect, heart rate is right on target
    2/6/2013 - A/S looked perfect. Still team green by choice!
    7/6/2013 - Baby girl born after 44 hours of un-medicated labor, 2 hours of pushing, and emergency c-section due to transverse head.  DD was perfectly healthy at 6 pounds, 14 ounces.  We are thrilled!!

    Our tech asks before you even sit down. But, if yours doesn't then yes you should speak up right away. And at every ultrasound.

    I didn't think to mention it right away, because I was so focused on not peeing my pants...LOL.  The tech did all of the measurements and then asked if I wanted to know the gender.  I declined and she handed me a towel to clean off all of the gel.  Since i have to get u/s every 4 weeks, I will be telling them right away, because I'm afraid they will slip at some point.

    11/2010 - Surprise BFP - m/c @ 16 weeks - dx Lupus Anticoagulant
    1/2012 - Clomid & IUI #4= BFP twins! On Lovenox - m/c @ 16 weeks

    9/2012 - Clomid & IUI #5= BFP! EDD 6/6/13

    I may have to wait....I'll never give up.

    I agree with others to tell them right away. Additionally I would recommend turning away when they first put the wand on...just in case they get the money shot.

    Yup that. With DS I saw immediately even though the tech said nothing.

    Glad you asked LOL I was wondering the same thing....I will be telling the tech right away now...I didnt want to sound like a freak by telling them right away LOL

    I will have to tell my drs too because last time I saw them I was on the fence about finding out.  Now I am sure we are team green.

    They asked me at the beginning, but if they hadn't asked I would've told them right away.

    Even though the tech knew we were team green, the gender is very clear in DD's ultrasound video (now that I know what I'm looking for). Good thing I was clueless at the time, lol.  

    This time we're team finding out, so it doesn't matter. :)

    I'd tell them right away but just an FYI with DS it was blatantly obvious that he was a boy. We were team find out so it didn't matter anyways. As soon as he showed up on the screen it was a full on shot of his junk. No mistaking it.

     BFP on Cycle 17 09/27/12. EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!

    I totally didn't think to mention it every time. We go on the 16th to one we could find out so planned on bringing it up at that one, but hadn't thought that every one after that.

    At the last u/s I had the tech told me to remind them every time so they don't slip up.

    I would tell them right away, but our tech asked us right when we walked in, and then again before she looked at the genitals.
