I am now 3wks and 2 days post c/s. I was just wondering how much longer I can expect to bleed. I just had a rather large gush of blood followed by some clots (sorry for the TMI). Is that normal? I'm so tired of wearing pads. I just want it to end.

It was 6 to 8 weeks for me. I did push for a few hours though.

I bled for about 3-4 weeks after my first C-section and about 2 weeks after my 2nd. I'd probably be concerned if it went on after a month- maybe 5 weeks. If you are still bleeding at your 6 week appt. definitely tell the dr.

i came to ask this exact question! I am almost 4 weeks post op and still bleeding. I stopped for days. Switched from heavy pads and wham i get another heavt gush. I guess its normal. TY OP and PP's!
I bled at least 4 weeks. My suggestion is to buy the always infinity pads. Theyre nice and small, but hold moisture well so you feel as human as possible wearing a pad. I was so happy when I could finally wear a tampon after 6 weeks! Lol
