3 Christmases AGAIN???

So, I found out on Saturday that my MIL and FIL will be here for Christmas this coming weekend (next weekend is my other FIL and MIL, and then onto RI for my parents). Please someone shoot me now.

Em is going through a growth spurt/sleep regression, and I started back to work and am getting no sleep at all. I'm so annoyed that I just want to cancel Christmas altogether. Once again we're having 3 separate Christmases instead of the 1 we said we were going to do this year. Ahhhhhh! Sorry, just needed to vent/cry/scream...

Oh I hear you. I said no Christmas this year out side of my house. Well looks like I will be doing 6. My mom, my dad, MIL, FIL, my grandfather, and our house. Ugh and my grandfather and MIL both insist on doing it on Christmas eve.

Ugh, I am so sorry and I feel your pain. We're having three Christmases, as well (possibly four), and I'm just resigned to the crazy. I'll insist on leaving and meeting DD's needs no matter what the ILs say or do.

I feel you. We've been doing 3-4 Christmases every year for awhile now (our house, MIL's, mom's, and dad's) and my mom gets upset when we don't go to grandpa's too. For once I just want to have Christmas at home and let the kids play with their new toys in their pajamas all day! Instead we get up at the crack of dawn, rush through presents, get dressed, go to my mom's, rush through more presents, go to MIL's eat dinner, rush through more presents, go to dad's, eat dessert, open more presents, and then get home exhausted and go to bed.

We're hosting this weekend and next weekend, and then driving 4 hours to my parents.

We've also been doing three Christmases for the past several years, and every time we end up exhausted by the end of it. It's two days of traveling for hours, rushing through celebrations, leaving in the bitter cold (I'm in Minnesota), and driving several more hours home . . . I don't even want to attempt it with DS, but the extended family hasn't even met DS yet, so we're making the effort. We'll see how it goes, but hopefully people will understand if we don't stay long :S
