We have been using a friend's nap nanny chill and my DS loves it. In
fact, right now, its the only thing he will nap in when at home.
Unfortunately she needs it back and notified me the day after all the
stores pulled them from their shelves because of the voluntary recall
and company shut down. Unless I want to spend an obscene amount of
money, I don't think I can acquire one. Does anyone have any
suggestions/recommendations for similar products? Thanks!
Did that last night. Purchased one for same cost as baby retail stores. Thought it was the deal of the century. Then I got an email today saying order was cancelled and I wasn't going to be charged. Product voluntarily recalled and manufacturer has closed doors. So I am back to square one -- either spend a LOT of money (meaning, more than the $180 that I would justify because he loves it and we have siblings/friends who can use it when DS outgrows it) or find an alternative. Thus, looking for suggestions...
I just saw a bunch of these at Buy Buy Baby when I was there a couple days ago. I'm not sure if they've been recalled since then. Try calling them, maybe they could ship one to you. Here's the number for where I saw them:
So were they actually recalled or did they just go out of business? If they recalled (even voluntary) what was it for? I just recently bought one and know not to use it in cribs etc but was there another safety issue?

I just checked Craigslist and found several in my area ranging from $60 to $80. So not only is it available, but it's cheaper than buying in the store.
