Just curious.....

Hi mommies.....

I was just curious what does your feeding schedules look like?

DS is almost 6 months (will be on Dec. 1st) and he eats 4x a day (7a, 11a, 3p, 7p).  He has 2 jars of food a day (1/2 a jar at each feeding) right before his bottle and also consumes about 8oz every bottle total of 32oz a day.  DS does show us when he no longer wants anymore formual (generally an oz every so often but not every day).  In the last bottle of the day DS gets a scoop of oatmeal cereal in there (thsi has been ongoing since 3 months).  He's a big guy aprox 23lbs built solid like his daddy so eating has never been an issue.  I was justing wondering what everyone elses schedules were looking like these days

    Mine are 6m2d and this is what they eat - we were told to up their intake at their 6 month appointment so we just added lunch! :)

    6 oz bottle

    Breakfast: 1 1/2 formula scooper of Oatmeal w/ 3T fruit and 1 oz formula

    4-5 oz bottle

    Yogurt w/ fruit

    6 oz bottle

    Oatmeal (just added this oatmeal too) 3T fruit, 3T veggies

    6 oz bottle

    6:30AM : BF

    9:30AM: 5 oz breastmilk bottle

    12:30PM:  5oz breastmilk bottle, cereal in bowl or 1/2 veggie in bowl

    3:30:  5 oz formula bottle

    5:30:  BF

    6:30:  1/2 Veggie in bowl

    7:30:  BF before bed

    3:00AM:  BF

    430am- BF

    7am- BF

    930am- 3 oz bottle then Oatmeal and a half pouch/jar of fruit

    12pm- 5 oz bottle

    3pm- 5 oz bottle

    6pm- BF

    7pm- meat & veggie mixture (1/2 jar)

    8pm- BF

    Ours are taking 30oz of formula per day and they get solids 2x a day. Their AM solid is a fruit mixed with oatmeal (about 2.5oz per baby) and their PM solid is a veggie of some kind (2.5oz per baby).  I think they're just about ready to go to solids 3x a day, but I plan to talk it over with the pedi at their 6 month appt. next week.

    Seeing as I only breastfeed I am assuming she is getting about 6oz per feeding so

    7am - BF

    9am - BF and 3 Tbls Cereal - (flavour of the week is oatmeal) 

    11am- BF

    3pm- BF - half jar of veggies or fruit depending on what I have made.

    6pm BF

    930pm BF

    and lately I don't know what everyone else is going through but Loghan has been up a lot during the night.  Found she cut her first tooth today.  So hoping that was the reason behind these night time wake ups :)  

    My biggest thing is I am so excited to have her eating solids I want her to try everything and there is so much to choose from :)

    6 am - BF

    9 am - 4 oz BM

    10 am - 4oz BM

    12pm - 3oz BM

    2pm - 3oz BM

    4pm - 3oz BM

    6pm - BF

    7pm - solids - veggie (we're doing BLW so I have no idea how much he's actually eating)

    8pm - BF

    1am - BF if LO wakes up

      We only started solids a few weeks ago and daycare doesn't do BLW, only purees until 8months so LO only gets solids with us. LO also won't take more than 4 oz at a time via bottle so he ends up eating every 2 hours during the day.

    We have no schedule he bf when he's hungry some days it's every two hours some days he goes four but then eats every hour for a few hours.
    He only gets a little soilds at dinner only started two weeks ago.
    He does sleep better at night if I make sure to bf him ever two hours during the day.

    Lincoln (21 lbs) has no set feeding schedule.  He breastfeeds on demand, which is what he has done since birth.  He just turned 6 months yesterday, so we are starting to give him a couple spoonfuls of pureed veggie/fruit 1-2 times a day. He LOVES it!  We also got him this amazing chair that hooks directly to our table.  He is so darn proud to be sitting with the family like a big boy.  Most adorable thing ever!

    Sounds just like my big guy! Eats at 7, 11, 3, 7 (6oz bottles)..he eats about an ounce of solid food at breakfast then 2 oz solid food at dinner...he is close to 24lbs and is 6months today! :) I seriously cant believe how fast it is going!
