DD was probably 7 months. She would topple over for the longest time, and then one morning it was suddenly super easy for her to sit unassisted for minutes at a time.
Unassisted? A little over 6 months. It went really quick ... like one week I was saying "he's not sitting for longer than a couple seconds" to a week later he was sitting by himself. He can sit for long periods of time now. I still haven't seen him go from crawling to sitting, although he does lean back on his knees/butt. He's been army crawling for a few weeks now.
