First period after baby or implantation bleeding?

I am not sure if I have my fist period since giving birth 9 weeks ago or if I am experiencing implantation. I have cramps and feel like I have my period, but it is less than spotting and brown in color? Is this normal? I though your fist period is supposed to be very heavy? I had unprotected sex 2x but my husband pulled out... Last time was 5 days ago. Any thoughts?

My first PP period was wack. It was brown, gunky, and never ending. That said, if you don't want it to be implantation bleeding, maybe go on birth control. Pulling out is definitely not the way to stay un-pregnant.

I had this at 6 weeks post-partum. My MW guessed that I dislodged some remnants from the pregnancy because of increased activity and/or hormonal shifts. I EBF so a period was highly unlikely.

What cycle day are you? My first cycle day was brown and then it turned super heavy...day 3 and going strong. Hope you're not KU again...unless you want to be

I got my period back at the 7-8w mark and it was light and spotty and went away quickly so I don't think it's always real heavy.
