Visit the February 2013 community at www.babycenter.com. Trust me, it's well worth it!
Within 10 minutes of browsing posts, this is what I've seen:
1. A 21 year old whose boyfriend was arrested for DUI and now has to serve 2 months in jail. His lawayer was able to reduce the sentence so he's out in time for the baby's birth but she isn't sure how she is going to support their baby with no income.
Ummm... I'm no expert on DUI charges but I do know that you do not go to jail for a first time offense. She couldn't have picked a better guy to father her child?
2. A woman who was fighting with her husband and had sex with her ex boyfriend and now she's not sure who the father is. She wants to know if she should have a DNA test done.
Yes laides, this is legit! My suggestion was to call Maury. I watch that show in amazment, wondering how a woman can really not know who the father of their baby is... then BAM, there is a real life one on babycenter!
3. A 16 year old mother to be write a looong rant to defend her maturity and right to be a mother. She feels that she is better off then women twice her age because she has so much life experience.
This one was my favorite so far... I don't even think I need to comment.
4. At her 19 weeks, a woman was told that her baby is measuring one pound. When they adjusted her due date, she argued that the baby was right on schedule and tried to refuse changing it.
Great, that's fine... Go ahead and push a 18lb baby out of your vagina. Let me know how it goes!

Ummm... new favorite! The woman just posted it and it's entitled "Girl on girl action, anyone?"
She said that her pregnancy hormones haves her wanting to expand sexually and her and her husband are considering bringing a woman into their relationship.

Wow! My favorite part about that one was the comments that all the other women left her. They explained in detail how to file for support. A bunch of train wrecks!

You moron! Maybe it's just because we talk about discharge constantly on this board but come on... lol. You seriously don't know any better? All the women are telling her that it is her mucus plug and she needs to go to the hospital. As of 11:30pm, she was packing her bags and her child and going to labor and delivery.
I think about some of the women that these doctors have to deal with and I feel so incredibly bad for them.

I wouldn't say it's frowned upon if a woman needs to utilize those services but getting pregnant on purpose knowing you can't afford the baby is frowned upon. Why is it fair for me to support your baby when you don't?
"so my babys father and i are living with his aunt because we moved out of our apartment and broke our lease early because of a murder above us in our apt complex. anyways we have been here since early july and i really can't stand living off of someone but my bf would love to stay forever and do whatever he wants with his money. i got laid off in June bc my employer found out i was pregnant. and its been very hard finding another job since im 22 Weeks pregnant and only have about 4 months left so i feel like finding a job now would be so pointless because ill have to quit when i have the baby bc most part time jobs don't offer benefits or maternity leave. my bf gets so mad that im not working but i try to tell him its not that easy for me. on top of being tired all day every day i have to drive an hour just to pick him up from work every night at 2am. we want to move out but he has no clue how to save money and hasn't saved anything since living here for free. i wish i knew What to do!!"
Lol... I don't even know where to start with this one. It feels like an episode of "16 and Pregnant". Yes ladies, these people are for real.
I signed up for several other communities when we got our bfp. This is the only one I post in now but I still elect to have the daily highlights email come to me from two others so I can have some entertainment in the afternoons!
I truly am amazed at what some people post or ask questions about on other boards.

Need opinions but not judgment. My df has wanted to add another female for a long time, his only fantasy. I am bi so a female is not exactly new to me but I have feeling afterwards I will want to hurt either him or her. I get upset if he brings it up it's one of those so I'm not good enough? feelings. He has never done it before so I understand the want, I have done it but didn't like it and I didn't even like the douche I was with at the time. Should I suck it up and get it over with or break his dream and deny him completely? I don't know why it bothers me maybe because I love him or maybe because the only girl I ever loved has passed on but it does. Have any of you ladies given in? I think I was already pregnant. Not to sure we got into a screaming match and he said something to trigger my anger and I made his lip bleed he said something else and I broke his phone in two pieces literally. Let's first note that these women refer to their significant others as "BD" which I've learned stands for "Baby Daddy... classy! This story was followed by numerious comments from women explaining their fights with their "BD". It was like hanging out in a trailer park!

OMG I am crying from laughing soo hard! WTF?!?!?! I thought I was having crazy dreams every night!?!? THIS TAKES THE CAKE!
In one particular suburb of DC, it is 100 routine to go to jail for 7 days for a first offense DUI. I'm talking no other prior offenses or traffic tickets or ANYTHING...the DUI is the first time they have ever done anything wrong It is almost hilarious to sit in court and see people in for their court appearance not expecting to literally get taken out of the court room and straight to jail. The courtrooms actually have doors on the side walls that the deputy will take them through to get to bookingthey don't even walk out of the courtroom the same way they came in.
If someone has done more than that...maybe tried to fight the police officer that arrested them, or got the DUI and was in an accident that caused personal injury or serious property damage, or was in a school zone when they got the DUI...then even more time can be added on for a first offense DUI.
So, yes, these people are like a giant moron convention...BUT you can absolutely get jail time for a first offense DUI...at least around here.
