My little guy is 9 weeks. Just curios as to when you all stopped or plan on stopping with the swaddling. I have a friend who still has to swaddle her 10 month old and I really don't want that to be us! I know it will be a cople of sleepless nights once we do stop! We only half swaddle him from the waist down... Curios on your thoughts. Thanks!
DD outgrew her swaddle me, which we only used halfway anyway, so we started using footie pajamas this week. She was totally fine once she got used to them as she had only worn onsies and dresses before so she didn't like the leg parts. She will be 11 weeks on Tuesday.
This morning she had pulled one of her legs out of its leg and had both feet in one leg of the pjs. She'd also done a complete 180 in her PnP, so I guess having free legs was fun for her.
I have only been swaddling if she is really fussy, she has been kicking out of her swaddle a lot if she doesn't want to be swaddled, and we have been leaving one arm out. So funny, but she would get her right arm out and put it over her head and leave her left arm in. So to answer your question we are swaddling about 50% of the time.
We stopped when DD#1 was about 5 months. We plan to do the same with DD#2. It calms her almost instantly, which makes night time and nap time a lot easier for us.
Us too. Right now though some days we do one arm out, sometimes both out, some times full swaddle. It's like she can't relax with both arms in until she fights them out. However, she sleeps longest stretches if we can calm her down with both in.
We still do, and he will be 3 months on Tuesday. We will probably start transitioning out if it this week though. He keeps breaking out of it or managing to pull the blanket over his head. I hope its not too hard!
We stopped when LO was just over 4 months. He was starting to break loose, and then it turned out he started rolling shortly after anyhow. It's recommended to stop when LO is breaking loose or rolling as a safety precaution. At that point, we weaned him gradually and then switched to a Halo sleepsack, which was a great transition for him.

I stopped at 5-6 months or when they can roll over.
We use this method, which uses regular blankets, and doesn't typically get "grown out of":

ETA: We swaddle for ALL naps and bedtime until 5-6 months. I don't think it makes sense so swaddled only for bedtime not naptime.
