Baby Bargains was right! (JC Penney)

I have now ordered 2 different sets of nursery furniture from them and both orders have been cancelled. This second set they didn't even bother calling to let me know, I just looked at my order status and it is cancelled. Baby Bargains said the quality was great but customer service was poor. They were right. I'm done with them now....onto something else.

Where did you orders your furniture? Bonus points for a link!

DD has the same brand of furniture. It's really nice, but a huge pain to put together.

For DS we are doing DaVinci brand. I liked the quality and we are ordering from BRU.

We will be ordering from an Amish shop as soon as I figure out what stain/hardware I want. As for a glider we will probably just look into something from a regular furniture store. According to baby bargains, they are generally cheaper than something from BRU or similar places.

Ordered everything from sears... the selection is so/so but prices are reasonable. Recieved everything 2 weeks after the order.

we ordered from Burlington Coat Factory...I haven't used it yet, but everything seems sturdy and it was fairly easy to put together

Yep, I was looking at JCP and all of their nice cribs have been discontinued. So I went to BRU, and it was great. BRU was not my first pick since they are so overpriced. But.... They are having a huge furniture sale now, 50% off cribs if you buy the matching pieces that go with it. We bought a really nice set. I also opened a credit card, and got an additional 10% off the remaining cost! So I saved over $300 on my order. Got my dream nursery set for $900, and it should be delivered within 7-10 business days!!!

That is the crib we got. Can't wait to go pick it up when we go to Kansas City for the baby shower in a few weeks!

This is what we did as well. Couldn't pass on the BRU offer. We purchased the crib and dresser and love it.

That's really weird!!! I went ahead and place the order after you and I spoke with the intention of getting my back up since you mentioned they were out of the Tori Savanna collection. Well on September 6 the called to schedule delivery for the following Saturday!! I was thinking WTH!!! I've called back everyday to make sure that the warehouse still have my product. I don't know what the heck happened! When I checked online they only have 6-7 products on the baby furniture page. I'm still keeping my guard up and I won't be completely calm until I get my furniture, whether it's from JCP or somewhere else. Have you tried calling them?

We got DD's crib from JCP and I'm having trouble getting the conversion rails now (lesson learned!). Their customer service told me to order directly from the manufacturer, who has been super helpful. Maybe if you like a certain crib, you can get it direct.

www.westwoodbaby.com is the manufacturer I'm working with. JCP simply told me, so if that's not it, they might tell you the manufacturer you need if you call.

WHAT??? That is so incredibly frustrating. I feel like they are just lying about everything. I haven't called about my 2nd cancelled order yet, but sounds like I need to now! Please keep me updated to see if you get it. What finish did you order? We wanted espresso.
