How early did you find our baby's gender?

Dh is hopeful we can (maybe) tell Friday if it is a boy. I think we will be waiting until our next US in January.

13-14 weeks is still to early. Even if they make a guess I wouldn't bet on it. I am having a 3d ultrasound at 17 weeks so that I can hopefully find out before Christmas but I will have my regular 2d ultrasound with my doctor at about 20 weeks.

I'm 17 weeks and havent found out yet. Im supposed to get the"big" ultrasound scheduled at next appt in 2 weeks, so yes, spose I'll be 20 weeks as everything suggests. hang in there

My doctor made her best guess at 13 weeks and happened to be right. She said she was about 70% sure about her prediction. But, we didn't take it as fact until our 20 week sonogram. Even so, it was fun just to have her take her best guess.

With DD, we found out at 18 weeks. This time around I'll be about 21 weeks. They haven't even tried to look for it yet, so I doubt you'll be able to see it.

I found out at 19 weeks with DD, 16 weeks 5 days with DS, and I will be 19 weeks 2 days with this one. I agree, 13 weeks is very early to find out the gender. I have heard of some u/s techs calling it at the nuchal translucency u/s, but it's very rare, and I certainly wouldn't bank on it being right if they did. The baby's genitals are not completely formed this early.

If you want to try to figure it out based on the NT u/s...ask the tech to get a perfect profile shot of the whole body in a relaxed (not curled up) position. A nub should be seen by this angle. Then you can make your predictions based on the nub. It's actually proven 90% correct by the 13th week. Here's the site I used to guess the sex of mine...and most of the girls on there were right at guessing from my NT scan!...

Soo....it's possible to find out this early...but not always 100% ...fun to guess tho! GL!!

We had our NT scan at 13 weeks and they "guessed" it was a boy. They said about 80% chance it's right. We aren't banking on it though. We're waiting for 20 weeks to paint the room. Good luck!

21w1d. We thought I was 20w4d when I had my big US, but the tech told us we're actually 21w1d after doing the measurements and stuff.?

My OB did an US on wk 13 and wk 17, and told us that they wouldn't be looking for gender until our 20 wk US. I almost sched for 19 wks, but they said that the longer I waited the better the chance for an accurate gender. At 21 wks it was very obviously a boy!

We found out the SEX at 20 weeks. I have heard that you can find out as early as 16 weeks.

18 weeks with this one, 20 weeks with DS. I would say 13-14 weeks is pretty early, but I have seen girls on here find out that early. Don't get your hopes up though if they can't be certain.

I found out at 16 wks (but wasn't scheduled to find out until 20). They couldn't find the heartbeat w the doppler so sent me in for an ultrasound. So, I found out then.

We're having a ultrasound on the 15th and are hoping to find out then - hopefully the baby cooperates! ?I will be a day short of 22 weeks by then, so they should definitely be able to tell!

13 weeks is WAY too early. It would be way too much of guess on u/s tech to tell you one way or the other.

My doctor said he feels comfortable calling it one way or another around 16 weeks, depending on the baby's position, etc. I had an appt at 17 weeks where he said he was pretty sure it was a boy, my big ultrasound was the following week where it was confirmed.

I found out at about 21-22 weeks. It was really hard to wate but the longer you wate the more accurate they can be. It really is worth it! Im having a boy!! Really just wate because this guy at work was supposed to have a girl the had there US was early and never did a follow up. So when the day came guess what it was...... a boy! And they bought ALOT of PINK lol.?

I found out at 13weeks. I had a 3D u/s then, but my OB suggested to my DH and I that we not share our news until our 20week 3D u/s. We fine out this Friday if our specialist was right the first time around.

the office I go will allow you to get one done at 16 weeks for gender identification only, but you have to pay $100 for it, they do a routine one around 21-22 weeks anyway.
