I was just diagnosed with moderate depression and have to stop bf-ing DD since I'm starting prozac. I wasn't able to bf my first child and was very proud to have been able to bf for my second child nearly 5 months. I was very upset about my decision to stop but I'm not comfortable with the risks of DD absorbing this medication. I realized that I haven't felt quite right since her birth and I need to get better for my family's sake. I enjoy reading the posts on this site and have learned so much about bf-ing from everyone. I just feel grateful that I've been able to provide a formula free diet for my daughter for the 1st 5 months and I'm happy that this board exists. Best wishes to all of the breast feeding mommies!
Re: Farewell BFing!
I agree! I would have stopped myself if I hadn't been able to work out our issues.
