First appointment! Still in shock. . .

I had my first appointment this afternoon, and was really excited when they said they would go ahead with an ultrasound! Everything looked great, I could see the heartbeat flicker (so cool). . . . And then she found a 2nd baby!! I'm having TWINS!
Both babies look great, are measuring 5w5d, and we could see the heartbeats for both. I am just praying that they both stay growing and healthy, and I'm having another ultrasound in 2 weeks to check them again! Wow!

does it run in your family or his? or did you have fertility? or was it a complete shock?
It doesn't run in my family and no fertility for me... but for some reason it is in the back of my mind. premonition maybe? I won't know until Aug 24th

No fertility meds and no twins in my family! DH has fraternal twins in his family, but that isn't supposed to increase our chances. It was a complete shock! A wonderful shock, but a shock nonetheless!
