XP: Goodbye Ladies

We went in for my u/s today at 9w3d and the baby had no heartbeat. I am so heartbroken. We had just seen the little flicker 2 weeks before. I dont understand why this keeps happening or why we can get to the point of a healthy heartbeat and then this happens.

My d&c is scheduled for Wednesday morning and my obgyn will begin testing.

I will miss all of you wonderful ladies and hope you all have healthy, sticky babies.

That sounds like a really knee jerk reaction, to schedule the d&c so soon... Did they confirm that it looks like the growth stopped/is significantly behind, too? Did your beta levels drop? Are they going to do a followup scan before the d&c on Weds?

I don't want to encourage false hopes... I just know that I would demand a follow up before going through with a d&c if I wasn't already showing the physical signs of a miscarriage...

I'm so, so sorry. Hopefully the testing will give you the answers you're looking for and you'll go on to have a healthy baby next time around. There are so many issues that can be addressed and corrected. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. So many hugs.
