Did you know you were pregnant before a test was positive?

DH and I are trying. This is our first month. I was wondering what kind of signs or symptoms everyone had before they got a positive pregnancy test.

I think I just ovulated a few day ago so I know it's a bit early.

Absolutely not. Either time.

It was the first time with DS that I didn't even suspect a pregnancy. And then again, for the first time since DS, it was the first time I didn't even suspect a pregnancy.

DH joked about it because of my craving for shrimp. Other than that and super sore boobs, I just figured AF was on her way. I had a few other cravings that reminded me of my last pregnancy, in hind sight, I guess I could have taken those as signs.

Nope. I had no idea and was actually pretty shocked. I still don't really feel pregnant, but I'm only 5 weeks.

All I really had was exhaustion, some wicked cramps, and a hunch. I took a hpt the day before AF was due, and it was positive! I'm 6 weeks now, and I've added nauseau to the mix. Good luck to you!

I did because I started having all day nausea and sore boobs 9 DPO but tested negative every day until 12 DPO. Now the nausea has subsided but the other symptoms are picking up steam.

Nope. Both times I got pregnant, I had cramps like usual and didn't test until after AF was expected to arrive. I was convinced I was pregnant during other cycles while TTC.

I did. We 'really made it count' when I ovulated and 2 days later I had implantation cramps . . . a full 2 weeks before AF. So I knew what was happening. Then I started to feel bloated and sore boobs right around when AF would be happening.

With LO I tested too early cuz i thought i might have been (no real symptoms other than missed period at that point) and got a negative result. A few weeks later AF still hadn't shown up (wasn't abnormal for me)... I had weird symptoms (itching and weird dreams) so I figured "eh, I have an extra test upstairs why not POAS". My dog was sitting at my feet while I was peeing, and I almost didn't even wait for the results. I figured it was stupid for me to test so as I was getting ready to place it in the trash can I looked at the results and WHAM- POSITIVE. I felt bad cuz I kicked my dog out of surprise!

I did with both. Sore boobs was the biggest clue (which I never got with AF) There were a few other things.... (Pregnancy Brain and I can't remember them now)

I did. We 'really made it count' when I ovulated and 2 days later I had implantation cramps . . . a full 2 weeks before AF. So I knew what was happening. Then I started to feel bloated and sore boobs right around when AF would be happening.

Not to burst your bubble, but implantation occurs 7-10 days after ovulation. Is it possible you ovulated two days late and were feeling ovulation pain? I always know when I'm ovulating because I get twinges of pain on one side or the other. This time we had sex on what was supposed to be two days before I ovulated, I got twinges on my right side two days later (exactly when I expected them), and ended up with a BFP at 12 DPO.

Nope but this was our first month trying so I was taking tests daily after 7 DPO. I actually got the faint positive at the end of day 8.

With DD: For the first time ever, I got cramping at 7dpo instead of only CDs1-3 (and I had a 16 day LP, so the cramps were over a week early), so I was really hoping, but didn't know for sure.

With my m/c: Again, I got cramping at 7dpo, so I suspected, and at 11dpo got a BFP.

With this pregnancy: Once again, cramping at 7dpo, so I suspected again (but thought it also might be phantom symptoms brought on by wishful thinking) and got a BFP at 9dpo.

So I never just had a magical feeling that I was pregnant. For me, each time it was presumably implantation cramping at a time in my cycle when I otherwise have never cramped.

Oh I know, I'm just saying according to my charting, my discharge, etc I was ovulating on 6/14. On 6/16 I was having pretty good cramping. AF started 6/2 and lasts 6 days, so I couldn't have ovulated on 6/7. We didn't have sex again for another week (hubby was traveling). Just saying how my body reacted was out of the norm.

I knew the day after I ovulated that I was pregnant. My breasts were already tender and I was so exhausted for no clear reason. I started testing 7 days past ovulation but didn't get a positive until 9 days after, and even then it was very faint. By 11 days after the line was dark and a digital confirmed! I had weird cramping at 7 dpo (even with AF I rarely get cramps) so I knew something was up. I waited until AF was a day late and tested, sure enough I got a BFP!

K first, your baby is ansanely cute, and secondly I totally knew on a hunch as well. Something was just different. Hard to describe. Although sore boobs came pretty early on before my bfp.

Had a hunch with both. Weird dull cramping and then boobs/nipples started getting sensitive. I never had any implantation bleeding with either pregnancy.

I honestly had no idea all 3 times.

With DS, I got pregnant on the NuvaRing. AF didn't show up when she was supposed to, so I POAS to make sure. Total surprise BFP.

With my M/C, we took a little break. I was charting, but we weren't trying like we had been the 5 cycles before that. AF didn't show up on 13dpo like normal so I tested. BFN. She still didn't show up for another week and I thought for sure I got my O date wrong or something, which was why I was having this extremely long LP. I kept testing and I didn't get a BFP until 20dpo, which is still weird to me.

This time, I never got AF post-miscarriage. My OB said it could take up to 2 months after, so I just randomly tested after about 5 weeks....and there it was...BFP! We weren't even thinking about trying again for a couple more cycles.

Apparently I can only get pregnant when I have no idea what's going on with my body. While we TTC #2, there were definitely cycles where I was convinced I was KU and obviously wasn't...so you never know. Unfortunately, you just have to wait and see.

My boobs started to be sore almost immediately after O.... I wasn't too surprised because they always get sore before AF. What tipped me off was the fact that I was so exhausted, I was taking naps every day and I NEVER take naps. That and my sense of smell. I could smell EVERYTHING so strongly. So I wasn't surprised when I had my BFP

I did have a few symptoms, like nausea, feeling really thirsty, and occasional light-headedness. But I chose to ignore these as I was convinced I won't get pregnant that easily (I was diagnosed with PCOS). It was only when I was 3 weeks overdue that I decided to test, and getting a BFP was quite a surprise.

I had no idea either time. This time around, I didn't think I was b/c i had tested 3 days already and was very negative. But I had one digi left which I was saving and just decided, why not? I was shocked.

Looking back, I had some cramps and one afternoon where I was tired, but I thought it was AF.

Yes. Although my first test I took was negative and I was upset and convinced myself there was no way this "feeling" was right and it was all in my head. I waited on more week and got the BFP! I just knew, but I did second guess myself plenty. GL!!

Before I got a positive pregnancy test I started having crazy vivid dreams! I even had one where i was pregnant! Though I didn't think much of it at the time. Also, I had a very runny nose/felt very congested! I thought I had a cold and was taking cold medicine!! (which I felt really scared about after finding out i was expecting)

What really set me off was going to the movies with my bf to see "Water for Elephants". I had read the book before and still sobbed through the entire movie. We went straight to the drugstore and bought a test after leaving the theater! lol

Just found out that I'm pregnant a few days ago!

I was suspicious because my dog suddenly was finding every opportunity to lay his head on my tummy. I did notice an increase in discharge (gross, I know). I have been breaking out way more than usual. I also got a terrible cold around the time implantation would have occurred. However, my BIGGEST sign was the lower back pain! Oh my word! It is awful! I feel like an old woman! Good luck!

I was always thinking I was pregnant, almost obsessively... i read way too much into every little thing- heartburn, indigestion, gas, light period, heavy period (did I miscarry?), sore back, cramps....anything and everything. So, I was always taking tests, which were negative. I'd feel better that month, and then start it all over when my period ended. The one that was positive shocked me because I was taking it to prove to myself that I wasn't pregnant. Now i'm 10 weeks and strangely, much more at ease than I was before! Stick out tongue

I had no idea! I chart my BBT and I had a temp drop the morning I got my BFP at 10 DPO, so I wasn't even going to test. I ended up testing with SMU and was shocked when I saw the 2nd line.

This was the last cycle I expected to got a BFP on as I got a + OPK at 7 DPO with no temp shift, then another + OPK on CD 15 and ended up O'ing on CD 16. Plus DH and I were in a huge fight that whole week and were barely speaking to each other much less trying to have sex. I decided to be the bigger person and apologize when I got my second + OPK lol - we managed to hit O and O+1. My only symptoms were back ache and mild cramping which are typical PMS symptoms for me.

I was surprised!

I didn't suspect anything because DH and I we trying for 3 months with no success. I was so stressed because I was in a wedding I really did not feel comfortable being in. When I got home from the wedding (saturday wedding) the following Monday I was sitting home doing homework and I realised, "hmmm haven't seen AF" So I called DH and asked what I should do. The night before I had been craving SPICY FIRE HOT buffalo wings and DH made them, and I got through 1 1/2 and felt nauseous. I figured it was because of all the FUN I had the day before at the wedding... Any who, Monday morning I WANTED, no NEEDED those hot wings... I threw them into the oven and tried burning them a little, just in case it was because of the meat that got me feeling a little sick... Again I only got through ONE this time and felt like I was going to throw up. Got a test out and waited for DH to get home to take it. Needless to say, BFP...

I just hope I'm a bit more coherent about what's going on this time around

I experienced some symptoms.. sore boobs, feeling some sickness, very tired, but I was still unsure because I thought it might just be stress from work and lack of sleep. I told my mom these things (she's been through 8 pregnancies). And she asked me if I still like coffee... I said, "you know what, all of a sudden I HATE coffee. I hate to even smell it." A month before, I had enjoyed at least one cup everyday. That's when she told me- "You're pregnant!" Apparently thats how she knew everytime she was pregnant (along with a strong craving for milk). I went to the doctor a few days later, and sure enough- positive test.

With my first pregnancy I didn't know I was pregnant til I was 7 weeks and 2 days. I had not one symptom but my husband kept telling me to take a test. I am pregnant once again and I only knew I was at first bc I took a pregnancy test. And nausea set in at about 5 weeks and is still going strong at 12 weeks and 3 days.

I actually did!! I Just felt like something was different

I didnt have many symptoms (i am only about 4weeks along) but i did notice that i started to break out on my face a lot and my cramps were wierd! They felt JUST like my period was going to come (i even went two days with a thin pad on) expecting that it was going to come at any moment. I also noticed about the cramps is they mirrored my ovulation cramps! Meaning sometimes the cramp was only on the left or right side! I thought that was kinda wierd but I used to be on birth control so i figured my body was all out of wack! I also had increased vaginal discharge....it was very thin (almost clear)...and i had lots of it so much so that at times it would come out and i run to the bathroom thinking it was blood but no it was just semi clear CM. I also had times were i was getting heartburn (and i NEVER get heartburn),there were times i would get up and feel light headed (almost like i got up too fast) and only my nipples hurt not the whole boob....i should say that the nipple was only sensitve to the touch (not as bad as i heard they can get then again i am still early on). After all this i began to wonder so ON THE DAY MY PERIOD WAS DUE i took a hpt (equate and clear blue) i figured it would be too early but i still wanted to see and AS SOON as i peed on the stick...bright....dark lines popped up and looking at the legend both said YOUR PREGNANT

I was soo happy but like i said im not out of the danger zone yet....Im telling you YOU WILL HAVE A FEELING....I even had a dream about it two nights before!! Im wishing you lots of luck and sending baby dust your way!

This is my first one and I had no clue. On day 3 of missing my period I mentioned to a friend I was late and she jokingly asked if I was pergnant, I assured her I was NOT! (oops). Later that day I mentioned to my DH how late I was and he told me not to worry it was still coming. That evening I got home and decided to take a HPT, it was positive. I decided not to believe it cause it was expired by 3 years, but my boobs were so sore! So DH went and got another test and I took it the next day positive again. It took two more tests to convince me.
