Breastfeeding & periods

Idk if this question has been asked but here it goes... Does breastfeeding change your periods? I am new to the breastfeeding world ( other kids were formula babies) and am still trying to figure things out.

    Yes breast feeding will make your period irregular or you may not have one at all because as long as your breastfeeding you maintian a lot of your pregnancy hormones. So on the one hand it is a natural contraceptive, but on the other hand its not full proof by any means because you never know when your going to start ovulating again. hope that helps:)
