We recently found out that we are having a boy, and my husband keeps insisting we name him Cassidy... I think it sounds girly, and I am worried he will be picked on in school. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks
The most macho-manly-man cousin I have is Cassidy. We cal him Cass. I've never known a female Cassidy, but I did always think his name sounded slightly girly.
I guess technically now I should be SecondBabyMomma
Re: Cassidy for a boy?
Only as a last name - David Cassidy.
The only Cassidy I know is a girl... I don't think I'd name a boy this
Sorry.

Back in high school I had a boy friend that was named Cassidy.
He was the only Cassidy I knew and was never taunted or teased. He liked his name.
I think his mn was Flynn.
Cassidy Flynn.
This! And his nn was Beaver, which he hated. Relatedly, his last line before he was killed off was "My name is Cassidy!"
I don't like it for a boy. I suggest Casey for something similar, which is more unisex IMHO.

I have never thought of Cassidy as a boy's name.
I like it on a girl though!
