  My aunt's name is Ina and she pronounces it Eye-nah.

  That being said I have a friend from Germany who is also named Ina. She pronounces it EE-nah.

  Either way is correct, but the Eye-nah pronounciation will be the most popular here in North America while EE-nah is more common in Europe.

  I've heard it both ways, think it depends on where you're from and how the I is pronounced there.

  Thanks for the clarification.  One of our top choices right now is Isla and I could see people (especially spanish speaking) say Ee-Sla instead of Eye-la.  Now that I look at it I guess Ina would be the same as Ida/Isla so N. America would say Eye-na.
