Baby Names

Boy names

The hubby decided he would like to say with a C, M, or B name for baby number three. We are team green and naming the third has proven to be quite difficult.

All along I have really like and I thought we were decided on Emmalyn Rose for a girl and Brennan Matthew for a boy. He brought up Blakley the other night. I like that too. What are your thoughts? Can you see an adult Brennan??

Re: Boy names

  • I really do not like Brennan or Blakley (Ick!)

My favorite B, C and M names for boys are: Brooks and Miles. I guess I have no favorite C names.

  • I'm not a fan of either Brennan or Blakley. Brennan reminds me too much of the trend of Brenna for girls & Blakley seems feminine too. Maybe just Blake?

  • Brennen is SO Will Ferrell in Step-Brothers.... so yea, I can picture Brennen as an "adult" and I giggle...

  • It's NMS, but I don't mind Brennan. I really dislike Blakely, but Blake is okay - boys only!

  • I actually like Brennan a lot for a boy.

However I strongly dislike Blakely for a girl.

  • I didn't make it very clear. We thought of Blakely for a girl. Blakely Ann. I like Brooks but our last name is Burns and I don't think it flows. What do you think? I'm boycotting the C, M, B thing. What about Deacon or Rowan for a boy?
  • I can see an adult Brennan, but in my mind he is whiny and effeminate. Blakely is a (terrible) girl's name. I know 2 Blakelys IRL and they are both girls. What about: Caleb, Cole, Carson, Charles, Carter, Cameron, Camden, Miles, Maddox, Matthew, Max, Mark, Mason, Benjamin, Brandon, Brett, Bryan, Brian, Bennett, Beckett, or Bradley?

I like Deacon and Rowan A LOT more than Brennan!

  • I like either Brennan or Blakley.  I think personally though I would lean towards Blakley.  I love the name Emmalyn Rose.  Very cute.
  • I like Max for an "M" boy name.
  • Out of all of the names you've mentioned now, I like Rowan.
