Success after IF

BFP? WDYT?

OK, so I've had some early pregnancy symptoms for about two weeks now. Unmistakeable symptoms because I have Secondary IF; my daughter is about to turn 2.

Anyway, every pregnancy test that I've taken for the last two weeks has been negative.  Except for yesterday, I got a positive on a Fact Plus.  But then I took an "Answer" brand test this morning, and it was negative.  Both were FMU.  I know that all I can do is wait a few more days, but I can't get out of my head that I might be PG again.

Anyone know of any reason why I might get a false positive?  ANd I'm pretty sure that it wasn't an evap line; it was definitely blue, not gray.

Not familiar with those tests personally but blue dye tests are notorious for false positives. However, I hope that this one wasn't and that this is it for you.

Hmm ... I've never heard that about blue dye tests.  Thanks!  I'll look into that.

The only time I had a false positive was when I had an unruptured follicle (cyst).   I just happened to take a hpt before going to the RE that day and it came up positive.  I went to the appt anyway and during my scan he saw my follie was 26cm.  I told him about my positive test then he gave me a blood test.  It was negative.  He said my body is just trying to pop the follicle thus producing extra hcg (?) causing it to be a false positive.

When I got home I read the instructions and it did mention that a false positive could be from a cyst.

I hope you get the answer you want it to be.  Good luck!

I haven't had false positives, but my chemical pregnancies showed positive one day and negative the next b/c the betas were already dropping. Hope that's not the case for you!
