My OB starts at 38 weeks unless there's a need to check before then. Due to my fast labour last time he's going to start checking me at 37 weeks this time but nornally it's a week later.
My MW checks at 38 weeks, but when I had by GBS (36 wks) test she checked then, but didn't the following appt, at 37 wks. I'll be checked tomorrow when I go for my 38 week appt!
Mine checked today at 33 weeks, but because I was complaining of cramping and she wanted to make sure nothing was happening yet. Then she will check again at 35 and weekly from there on out.
Mine starts at 41- or maybe I was just checked then last time because I was having my membranes stripped?
Research doesn't support it telling you anything useful in a normal pregnancy- it seems to be becoming more common not to do them, but every doctor is different.
