This is what unique spellings have done to teachers

We got a gift from our neighbors this weekend and the woman who wrote out the card is a teacher.  I guess in this day and age they have become accustom to horrendous spellings and assume that's the norm since our daughter's name, a very simple Cora, was spelled Korra.  Eeek!

  • Congratulations on Baby Cora!  I love the name.

I would've thought the default would be the simple, traditional way of spelling the name.  I guess at least she didn't go with Kh'orrah.

  • This happened to me today. We had a new little boy join our lunch bunch group at school and his name is Caden. My co-teacher and I went through every possible spelling of the name that we have seen (Kaden, Caeden, Cadyn) until we figured out how he spells it. It's crazy the spellings you see in the classroom.
