Round ligament pains?

I was in the hospital for having early contractions and they had told me that I needed to call when anytime I got really crampy. Is round ligament pain more like an actual sharp pain, or is it like period cramps? I called my mom this morning to see if i would need to call it hurts to move and it's only on the right side. Yet it feels like period cramps. Anyone able to help out a little? ha

    For me it feels a little crampy can be sharp. But kinda like a muscle pull feeling.

    If you are worried or aren't sure then you might want to check in with your DR.

    I was just at the doctor this morning and described sharp pains to her and she said it was ligament pain.  She said that the baby is pushing on the ligaments and that it can be a sharp, intense pain.  It especially hurts when I first stand up.

    It is a sharp, pulling pain. Standing up and twisting seemed to be the worst for me.
