Re: How Much Has This Pregnancy Cost You?
My insurance is crappy so $3000, which is the deductible...i think it might be less because of some other things i have had to pay for so far this year, but i do miss the days of working for a huge corporation with amazing benefits, like i had with my dd, although i don't miss the stressful lifestyle:(
Maternity Clothes- $200 (this is my second though so i had some stuff but different seasons)
2 massages at $80 each
dr copay - 230
maternity clothes - about $100??? Not sure on that one.
Meds - @ $50
i'm expecting hospital bills to be around $1200.
copays $200 (flat rate of $200 for regular OB but may have a few copays for the MFM clinic)
hospital $0
prenatals $100? (i haven't kept track but take rainbow light + a DHA supplement)

Maternity clothes: $300
Prenatal vitamins and pregnancy-related prescriptions: $300

We've paid for everything out-of-pocket and without insurance. We're really hoping and praying these are all the costs for this pregnancy--otherwise we're going to have some big bills and some bigger worries.
Pretty much that, plus around $75 on a few summery maternity clothes.

Nachos- $4000 (aproxamately)
Pillow- $10
Vitamins and meds- ~$100? I got a lot of anti nausea meds, my prenatals are not that expensive. I'm only on my second bottle (they're huge bottles!)

co-pays $0
Maternity clothes - about $200 (I had a lot from DD#1, but the seasons were off, so mostly the pants worked)
medications - $25
Hosp bills - Probably around $2000
Co-pays - $0 (we have great insurance)
Maternity clothes - maybe $150? I haven't really kept track, but my friend has been lending me things as well
Medications - $200 This includes a round of antibiotics and all my supplements

Hospital - $4200
Misc Bills - $1000
Pillow - $50
Maternity Clothes - $200
Medications - $10
I have insurance that covers 0% of this pregnancy and delivery. We have made a little too much to make the cut off for medicaid until recently so I'm waiting on the call now to find out if I am approved..fingers crossed.
Insurance whats that? kidding! We pay out of pocket so...
birth center $3600
ultrasounds $300 i had 3 and they run about $100 each
OB appt $200 (by law i have to see an ob twice within my pregnancy)
Pillow $30
Maternity clothes $100 maybe i still had lots from my 1st pregnancy
Medications probably around $100 since i got special prenatals and had to drink liquid iron too!
Oh the joys of having no insurance and being pregnant but we wouldn't have it any other way and will love this baby girl no matter what. Now to start working on the cost for her when she comes since she has to see a peds dr pretty quick too.
Matenity Clothes $600
New bras (so far) $150
Meds $200
Hosp/Dr Chgs $1500
Co-pays $200
Hypnobirthing class $650
Total $3300
OB: $1800 (this is what my insurance didn't cover)
Maternity clothes: $300
Medications/Vitamins: $50
McDonald's Milk Shakes: $25
Gas to and from Dr's office: $60
Lost wages: $200
Having the car cleaned (b/s DH said the baby was not allowed in my aids infested vehicle) : $60
Nesting: $250 (repainting the foyer/hallway, hanging shelves in my bedroom, etc---nothing to do with LO's room or any necessary repairs)
Co-Pays from MFM: $150
This total comes to $2895.
It does not include:
My $2500 deductible for the hospital
The extra $250 I have to pay my doctor for c-section
The amount of money DH will spend in gas driving to and from the hospital when LO is born (since he got laid off there is no more company credit card to pay for his gas).... probably about $100 when all is said and done.
This brings out expected final grand total to $5745.
Hopefully DH gets a job with insurance because the insurance I have through my work sucks.
OB co-pay - $15
Hospital - $0 (I'm very fortunate to have great insurance)
Misc lab tests - $40
Meds - $50
Pillow - $50
Books - $50
Classes - $75
Maternity clothes - $400 <- I shouldn't have even spent that much because my SIL gave me probably over $2k worth of maternity clothes, but I'm a clothes hound and I couldn't pass up a cute tank or dress when I saw it.
Electric bill - I don't even want to guess because I kept it very chilly in the house especially towards the end
