Question for the knitters

in Cloth Diapering

Would fingering weight yarn work for a soaker or shorties?  Is it just too hard to work with, or does it not work as a diaper cover?

    It would, but it's finer, so it will require smaller needles and a lot more time. That's why worsted weight is a better option.

    This. It would work, but you would need a lot more yarn and would take forever.
