My Skin Thinks I'm 14 Again

Damn, I was really hoping I could skip the acne symptom. It seemed to be the one symptom I hadn't yet encountered. But this weekend the pimples started popping up. The last thing I want to do is go to a dermatologist right now... I'm so tired of doctor's visits! Is this something that also tends to go away after the first trimester or can I look forward to problem skin throughout the rest of my pregnancy?

You're not alone...I, too, look like a pizza face. And neck. And shoulders. The only good thing is, I blame my new alcohol free lifestyle on 'antibiotics for my face' while we are keeping quiet on the pregnancy. No one will argue with that! I'm just telling myself that if this is the worst thing that happens, then I am a very lucky momma.

I sure hope it goes away. My face is so broken out it's horrible.

Totally depends on how your body reacts to hormones, different for everyone. But if you are like me and have barely had acne issues before, go a see a dermatologist. I got acne really bad my 3rd tri. On my face, chest and back. It was HORRIBLE and I still have scars/discoloration from it on my chest and back. I really wish I could go back in time and see if there were some corrective measures, cuz my regular facewash/moisturizer did NOT cut it.

I hear you! My husband came home after work one day and jumped back when he saw how many popped up on my face while at work!

Its terrible! And oh so embarrashing, it makes me want to announce to everyone, "oh dont mind my face, Im just pregnant!"

I have them all over my chest... As if my lopsided, giant (for me, I was barely an A so this is just baffling to me) boobs were not enough, now they appear to have chicken pox.

My face, neck, and shoulders are ridiculously broken out. I feel like a mutant with all the bumps! Ugh!

I'm a little late to this post, but wanted to share that I got a prescription from my midwife-clindamycin.  It has SAVED MY LIFE!  I noticed the first night that I woke up without a single new one, and within a week I was almost completely back to clear skin.  It is completely safe, topical and doesn't smell at all.  BEG for it! :)
