Honestly...no. Obviously I'm one of the only ones who doesn't. I still think it's a cute name, though I wouldn't use it for my child.

I actually had a friend named Taft back in grade school. It has happened. He was awesome, though, so his parents knew how to raise kids (if not how to name them).

What else would you think of besides Pres. Nixon? It might be cool if it was the mom's maiden name or a family name or something, but the only reason the name "Nixon" is in America's vocabulary is because of the president by that name

It's a fairly common last name. NMS, as I don't like last names as first names, but there are definitely worse things you could be associated with.
