I used to get those very often when I was pregnant with DD. I would fly out of bed from a deep sleep because they hurt so bad. Drinking plenty of water and maybe a banana for the postassium before bed helps.

I was going to suggest water and potassium too. Also in the moment it will hurt and you will want to do anything but this, point your toes down (like if you were in ballet shoes). It always makes mine go away.

I get restless legs at night all the time now. I have so much trouble falling asleep over and over because when I finally do, I get up to pee an hour or so later, so frustrating! I even tried stopping the fluids 2 hours before bed but that doesn't help. I did try the banana trick and it hasn't helped. Does anyone know of anything else that might help me sleep better? I just can't get comfortable!

I used to have them all the time and it was from lack of potassium. I agree with bananas, and peanut butter too!
