*PAIF/SAIF always welcome*
Ours worked on the 2nd IUI. I was highly doubting it would work, and was just doing that IUI to "make my RE happy". We were planning on moving to IVF (due to my issues - tubal factor and questionable egg quality) just 3 days after we got our BFP.
For your best answer it depends on your specific diagnosis. However, I feel like I have heard most RE's do not do more than 3 IUI's. We considered the costs (3IUI's vs 1 IVF and the success rates).
Good luck to you! Waiting is the hardest part!
Cycle 11 - Clomid 100mg + Follistim + hCg trigger + IUI= BFP!

BFP Chart
This is what we were planning on doing. Our one IUI round cost us $3000, so we weren't going to waste our money on another. The day of our IUI, the RE told us to reconsider what our treatment plan was because of our morphology. However, we got lucky and a BFP with our first one.
Good luck to you.

Unexplained IF
Clomid cycle 1-3 - BFN IUI 1-3 - BFN
5 IUI's to pg with DD
Then we did one IUI to TTC #2 and it didn't work but we got pg on our own on the next cycle. GL!
we were going to go for 3 IUI's and then consider IVF. we were so blessed to have insurance cover the meds for IUI, but we were OOP for the actual IUI procedure. our wonderful dr was only charging us $100 for the insemination and we did 2 of the 3 unwashed. the washed cycle was another $100.
we did plenty of medicated TI cycles prior to that with clomid, femara and then a mix of both in one cycle. after the second IUI i had lap exploratory and HSG, 30 days later we did our third IUI and bam! mama got a BFmotherfuckingP!
This is us too. We were all OOP for IF treatments so IVF wasn't an option for us. We got pg on our 7th IUI. #1-6 was with Femara and Ovidrel trigger and lucky #7 was Bravelle and Ovidrel.
