For DS#1 we got him a pair of cowboy boots. I plan to do the same for DS#2 and frame them both after they are done with them. I have a pair of my husbands boots from when he was little framed in the nursery.

Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d, via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress. Seizures, IVH grade 2, brain injury, kidney and liver damage. Complete blood clot in the artery in his right arm. 27 days in the NICU. Now discharged from all specialists, excepts his kidney doctor, who will monitor him indefinitely. My tough little cookie.
My parents are getting DD something for the yard, so we'll probably do several smaller things. So far we have gotten a book and a little piano/xylophone. I want to get a tea set, too.
DD's bday is Monday and we gave her gifts early because DH is going out of town tomorrow. We got DD a play kitchen. She has been walking for several months now and loves to go in the cabinets. She LOVES all the things she can open and close on her new kitchen. We also got her some smaller things like some Minnie Mouse stuff, new bath toys, etc. My parents got her a little power wheels and a kids sized table and DH's family got her a bunch of leapfrog and vtech toys. She is a spoiled little peanut!
We were thinking of the wagon too - there's a big blue on at Target and BRU that has two seats with seatbelts, cup holders, etc. I think I'm more excited about it than LO will be!

My mom bought my son this awesome wagon (Little Tykes, I think). It has 4 cup holders, an umbrella, converts to a bench, has a cooler, and storage on the inside. It's been great while we've been here at our beach house on vacation. He LOVES it! I think they'll do something cheap for birthday. I'm thinking sandbox for his birthday? I'll probably spend a gazillion on his party, so who knows. Speaking of birthday parties... gotta get on that! Makes me a little sad, lol.

We just ordered our swing set, so we are getting DS a baby swing. We are also getting him a Cozy Coupe. We probably won't get much else, because we already have a wagon, lil quad, sand box, slide, etc.
We have a lot of the big stuff people mentioned above since my son is only 15 months older than our 1 year old. I ended up getting her a Pottery Barn anywhere chair, a Little People doll house, and a Little Tykes bounce house (really for both kids).
Some other toys she received (and loved!) were the Alex Jr. My Busy Town and a princess Cozy Coupe.

Well, the grandparents are doing the wagon and the toddler slide.
So we are doing a few smaller gifts such as wooden puzzles, a block set, baby pool, and books.
I think my step sister is getting him a water table, but am not sure.
