new here, need suggestions

Im a mother of 4 (baby is 6yrs) i just got remarried in Jan and want to have one more baby. (my DH has no other children) i had no problems in the past getting pregnant, and now im almost 38yr and have VERY low progesterone.  (.02)  i just started on the natural progesterone cream in hoping this will help balance my cycles and my fertility. Anyone else find as we get older that this is a roadblock? i have a birthing background, and do know alot but ive never had to be put into these shoes of not being able to get pregnant. So im looking for any other ways i can up my progesterone levels. any ideas?

    Hi Jennifer,

You have an interesting background and I am sure you will enjoy it here - lots of wonderful women!

I don't know much about low progesterone. I have heard b6 helps, and acupuncture. Neither did the trick for me and now I am on Prometrium in the latter half of my cycle.

    Good luck to you!

One of my friends tried a natural cream, but she ended up needing IVF to get pregnant, so she ended up on progesterone shots.  I'm another one that is on supplements from my RE following IUIs...  Hopefully, you will get PG again soon without needing much else for interventions!

I have been taking 100 mg of B-6 daily for low progesterone. While that helped some, I found that regular acupuncture has helped my hormone levels significantly. And not just progesterone but across the board. Best of luck!
