A few days before delivery, they estimated her to be "right around" 8 lbs if we delivered on our scheduled c-section date.

She was 8 lbs., 2 ounces. So, really accurate for us.

  • Off by 1 oz. Amazingly accurate. I based my delivery decision on that #, so I was glad that it was correct;  I felt I made a good decision.

  • I need a SS response.

With #1-baby was estimated to be 7lbs. DS was 10lbs.

With #2-baby was estimated to be 9+lbs. DD was 7lbs 14oz.

WAY off for me both times.

  • At 36w DS measured 7lbs 13ozs.  When he was born at 38w 4d, that is what he weighed.  I'm assuming he did grow in that 2 weeks so growth u/s was off.

  • At 35  weeks she weighed 7 lbs 5 ounces, she was born at 37 weeks and she weighed 8 lbs 13 ounces so I would say they were pretty accurate. The doctors had been saying that if she went 40 weeks she would weigh 10-11 pounds. ouch!
