I am in my second cycle of Clomid (50mg) and I have ovulated both times. This month we did IUI (just yesterday) and I was told everything looked great (CM and lining and everything) and husbands "contribution" looked great. I could use some encouraging words that this could happen. I read stories of women who ovulate and do IUI and things are good and they never get pregnant. Does anyone has a story with a happy ending? I should mention I am 26 and my problem is that without meds I dont ovulate until CD 30.
The second part of my question is next month I need to move on to something else (horrible side effects from Clomid). I am wondering if I should try Femera or go right to injections? Does anyone have experience with either? I am in a hurry to get pregnant because I am currently off medications for Rheumatoid Arthritis and getting more and more stiff every day. I need to get pregnant and get back on meds!
Thanks everyone!
Re: In need of encouragement and advice
Most of us on the IF boards have never been pregnant so you might want to try PAIF or SAIF for success stories.
If it were me, I would try a round or two of Femara before moving on to injectibles. It basically does the same thing as Clomid except without the nasty side effects. Hopefully you won't have to worry about it though! GL!

Hi!
If you are looking for happy ending stories try Success After Infertility or Success After a Loss.
I also had horrible side effects from Clomid and this cycle I am on a 5mg femara cycle...side effects are soooo much better! I think you need to discuss with your RE whether or not you should try femara or go to injects.
On Clomid, everything looked good but my lining...too thin. My RE also told me that the success rate from an IUI is around 15% so keep that in mind.
Good Luck!

Good Luck! You'll find success stories on Pregnant after IF and Success after IF. We're not so successful. The 2WW is the hardest part for everyone, so welcome!
I'd do what your RE recommends next month (if you need it).

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear."
I'm one of these! I'm have my 2nd beta tomorrow though, so I'm extremely cautious about it. The day of IUI #1, the RE said, "you have as much chance for this first one to work as you do the 7th, so there is hope but we just don't know for sure even if everything looks good." Best of luck to you - the 2ww can play some mind games with you, so try to keep yourself busy. ((hugs)) Oh, and bfarrell does an IUI check-in (I believe on Fridays, so you can scroll down on the board to find it) and she lists all the BFPs and what # IUI they were on. Hang in there!

I would discuss with your RE what they feel is your best chance given you need to get back on your meds, in regards as to whether to try Femera or injectibles.
Good luck!
