Waking up poll (clicky)

95% of the time, DD wakes up crying. Doesn't matter if it's naps or waking for the day. Doesn't matter if she's slept soundly or woke often.

DS #1 always woke up crying.  DS#2 only wakes up crying if he wakes during the middle of the night (often), but never in the AM or after naps.  Many times we won't realize he is awake until we walk by his room and hear him playing.  DS#1 still lets us know the second he wakes up and many time she still cries! hahah

Eli wakes up whining, no tears, kind of calling for us. Once we go into his room, he stops and smiles. He naps anywhere in the house, so as long as sees someone when he was up, he just smiles. If not, he does that whining/calling thing.

DD is usally pretty happy when she wakes up.  She will lay in her crib and babble and give us big smiles when we come in to say hello!  Very rarely does she cry when waking up unless we wake her up before she is ready

Michael wakes up cooing but when he gets out of bed, if you do not have a bottle in hand, he will cry and look at the door of the bedroom until you bring it.

DS1 was like that for a long time, maybe up until 18 months old. I don't know why, but as you said, he almost always woke up crying. DS2 mostly babbles and it's so nice!
