The best part of having baby number two: A question for second time mommy's.

For me, it's my DS' reaction when I put his little hands on my tummy and his developing baby sister gives a good kick. His eyes light up and he lets out the cutest squeal of excitement.

    I have to agree, although I wish I would not have made such a big gap in age between the 2, DS knows exactly what is going on and can really enjoy it with me, he is VERY excited about being a big brother and is always talking and kissing my belly, SO FUN !! Can't wait til July and neither can DS, he keeps saying
    " Your belly is getting bigger, is he coming now ? "Smile

    This will be number three for me but it is fun listening to my 2 talk about the baby when they think no one is listening.  DD is 5 and she asked big brother  "How do babies come out of tummies".  DS who is 10 say "The baby hole Duh"  they also fight about it being a boy or a girl.

    For me it was the excitment my DS got when telling everyone he was going to be a big brother.  That excitment went away very shortly after DD was born.  He wanted to know when we were taking her back.  DS did not like when I said there was a no return policy.  He said to take her to Walmart, they will take anything back. LOL After he adjusted he was very happy to teach her things.

    At this point it is that I am just so much more relaxed.  I kind of know what to expect and what is normal.  I feel like I am enjoying it more.

    When my daughter wants to give her baby sister a hug and a kiss.  She hasn't got to feel any kicks yet, the baby always goes back to sleep!

    DS likes to pull up his shirt and my shirt and lay his belly on my belly. I don't know why! It puts a big smile on his face and that makes me feel so happy. He gives my belly lots of kisses and says baby all the time to it, he likes to sit and rub it too. I can't wait till he can actually feel something, I'm dying to see what he does!
