We decided not to paint due to renting the condo so I am finding it a bit harder to decorate the nursery. I am a "color" girl so have to have pops of color!! So far our changing pad cover in bright green & white polka dots & green animal blanket on back of rocker & some green baskets for laundry, dresser/etc. are helping but I have too many ideas for wall decor & need to make decisions! Any suggestions or pictures of what you've done?? Thanks!!
My current ideas are: considering painting a canvas or 2, mounting a shelf for stuffed animals/etc. as it's an elephant/giraffe theme (but we do have a bookcase that I'm currently using for the animals), having 3 frames to form a "gallery" - pic of just baby, plan to order a customized birth announcement from Esty & a pic of the 3 of us, & also the bedding we plan to get comes w/ wall decals which we plan to put above the crib most likely...
Re: renter nursery decor suggestions?
We are renting also and decided to keep the walls white since we don't know how long we will be here. Here is a link to our pics:
https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=620105&id=538560183&l=f68f44b1c0We're also renting. Here are two more suggestions, both of which we're using:
1. Use starch to stick fabric to the walls. Sound crazy? Nake Berkus did a tutorial here (https://www.thenateshow.com/tipsandtools/detail/fabric-wall-art)...google to see other examples. Just make sure to use lightweight fabric and pre-wash it to shrink it and avoid color bleeds. When you're done, you just peel the fabric off the walls and use a little soap and water to get rid of excess starch - will not damage plaster/painted surfaces. We're applying a gorgeous yellow striped fabric as wainscoting around the bottom 3 ft. of the room, and instead of crown molding using a contrast color wide grosgrain ribbon across the top to finish.
2. Another fabric idea: go to a fabric store and buy odds and ends of brightly colored fabric in your color scheme. Then stretch in embroidery hoops and hang where you want. A good example of this is here on the right hand side: https://meandwee.blogspot.com/search?q=nursery.
GL!

I addressed this EXACT issue on my blog a few months ago.
I've been a renter ALL of my life :-)
You could try temporary wallpaper, fabric or large scale decals.
