Ahhaha! I'm from Maine and now live in Texas... fried pickles being a southern-thing, I was not exposed to them before... But I had them the first time at a local rodeo - and they are AWE-SOME! Esp. with ranch dressing!

I LOVE FRIED PICKLES!!!! Does anyone have a good at home recipe? One of the best places in town that has fried pickles is a bar that allows smoking :-( So no going in there for a while!!

Seeing as there's so many of us southern folk here, anyone had texas popcorn? It's fried jalapenos that are either in balls or strips! I love it better than the fried pickles!
