I am 12 weeks and I'm showing. I started showing at 6 weeks people could clearly tell I was pregnant so it was hard not telling anyone lol. It just depends on your body, everyone is different.
unless if your a size 0, more than likely your uterus isn't showing yet. I'm 12 weeks and all I can feel is a little more hardness right above my pelvic bone. I was a size 8 when I got PG and from what I've read you don't start showing until around 16 weeks.
But desiredone70 you are right, every one is different.

I'm 12 weeks and my dr. has shown me where my uterus sits at both of my appointments. At 8 weeks it was about an inch above my pubic bone. Right now (well, as of last week) it's right about where my pubic hair line meets my belly.
Chances are, your guts & organs are being pushed up and that's what you consider showing-add in the bloat and a belly full of food from your last meal and yes, you might feel like you're showing.

I'm almost 11 weeks pregnant with triplets (my first pregnancy)and I'm not showing yet... maybe a teeny tiny bit.. but I'd say I'm not. I'm a size 6 prepregnancy. I've only gained 3 lbs. So I would have to say it's probably bloat.

Its bloat and your first you dont show till later unless like PP said youre a 0 or so..
The uterus isnt even out of the pelvic bone till 12 weeks..

it's all bloat.
ETA: just thought I'd add: if people are telling you you look pregnant, its probably also because of bloat. sorry..
