I'm nervous to post pics of DS ever again

I've had other photographs I've taken as my siggy pics because of all the trolls, especially the ones trying to copy my s/n. It makes me sad because I love showing off my son -- of course I think he's super adorable. I'm always taking new pics of him and I want to show him off but if someone tries to steal my s/n, why wouldn't they try to steal pictures of my son?

On the other hand, I feel like he's very recognizable since I've shown him off so much in the past and everyone would know if my pics were stolen... but I don't think I'm willing to take that chance.

I hate these fvcking trolls.

Thats one of the reasons why I don't have any pics of our LO.

I would love to show off our little man, especially when I gave birth. However, due to people either recognizing me IRL or people C&P siggys...I will forever be known as...

I KWYM. That's the reason i took DS pictures down and changed my bump name. There are some crazy ass people. ETA: I had BG change my screen name b/c it had my actual name. Call it paranoia or what you will, I don't want anyone stalking me. Yes the BSC dies down but this time it was to a new level.

That's why I changed screen name and didn't put DS's pic in my profile anymore. I also tried to play it off like I was brand new, but that never works.

Yep, I don't share pictures of DD (or even her name) and I ended up changing my name on here when I started posting more on the boards. I don't really want to "run into" anyone I know, and I just don't want that much out there about me or my family.

Reading this post & the responses actually made me change my screen name & now I am starting all over. Am I wrong, is there a way to change your username without having to start a new profile etc.?

No. I tried. They won't let you change SNs on your account.

I used to have a pic of Bug in my siggy, but I took it down after the last bout w/ the crazies. I've let her name slip a few times, but I try to keep that off the boards. It's not just the trolls that do BSC stuff. It's some bumpies, too.

I get the fear, but, this happens on TB every so often. It'll pass. And we'll all start complaining it's too boring. Someone will whip up an AE. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I starred posting on 0-3. But really picked up a lot more here. I posted some on high risk, m/pl. But I was never into the tri-boards.

Watermark your pics, like you do your current siggy. Then if they do steal them and see the pic is watermarked Lucky428 and the AE's name is Lucky429 or whatever, it's even more obvious that the troll is not you.

I agree with katiekate. I didn't have siggy pics for a looong time, then briefly put one in and like two days later we had a huge blowup on the multiples board with major picture-stealing fakers so I took them down ... but yeah, it's boring if everyone just has generic siggies. Also MUCH harder to remember who is who without adorable little faces to go with the usernames.

I wasn't either. I think I posted a little on whatever the TTC board was called back then, and a couple times on a tri board or two, but was really just on the Multiples board until my boys turned 1 and then I started posting here, too.

I love posting pictures of my DD, but my name had to be changed. I've been avoiding it forever. I may post pics of her eventually. I usually always watermark them. However, I don't think I did with my last one.

I stopped puting Monk's pic in my siggy mostly because I don't need his face in a thread with a bunch of porn. Makes me feel weird.

Yes, AEs may know my former name but i felt it needed to be changed. & I kept my girls in my siggy for a short while so everyone would know who i was without having to make a big announcement

Me too.

There are creeps everywhere, in the internet, in your neighborhood even in your family. I've never thought that not posting pics of DD will keep her safe.

Besides, after all the crazy AE's, I just try not to post in AE's posts. If I'm at work, I just open threads that "seem" safe.
