Can you reuse baby food jars?

I figured that you could, but someone told me that I shouldn't.  Just wondering.

Re: Can you reuse baby food jars?

  • Yes you can.  I just started feeding DS solid foods and my mom told me to save the jars and use them for other things. Even things like prepared baby food.  just wash them. (duh Stick out tongue)

I thought so.  It's the same as saving spaghetti sauce jars.

  • I save mine. I just wash them really well and use extra hot water.

  • I either wash them with really hot water or through the dishwasher. Reuse them to thaw the frozen chunks of homemade babyfood (that I froze in ice cube trays). Or have some in office drawers to store paper clips, tacs, etc. My dad took a bunch for his workshop for nails, nuts, and bolts. I prefer gerber plastic ones for that in case one is dropped in the garage.
