If you go to school... stupid question

I am starting grad school on Thursday evening. What should I wear? Jeans would be totally appropriate, right? It's just class, not like an interview or presentation or anything.

I started working from home a few months ago and I rarely go out lately so I pretty much live in sweats and pajama pants. So the thought of getting 'dressed up' is scary to me, lol.

  • That's so awesome you're starting grad school! I'm working on my Bachelor's, but I have friends who are in grad school.  They go straight from work so they're dressed in business clothes. Jeans are totally appropriate for class, but you might find a lot of your classmates are coming right from work.

  • You'll be fine in jeans.  Some people might be more dressed up b/c they might be coming straight from work. If you really aren't sure if you fit in go w/ business casual until you see how other people dress.  But no one is there to judge you based on your wardrobe.

  • So exciting!  Good luck!

I am in dental school and I go to class in jeans (on days I don't have clinic), if that helps.

  • I think that's a sweet question. You'll be fine in jeans! I'm doing a master's part time and I either go in work clothes straight from work or change into jeans or sometimes lululemon. :)
  • congrats on grad school. i think jean will be fine
