My LO was born at 36 weeks weighing 5lb, 3.6 oz and I've heard a lot about precautions we need to take since she's a preemie and a small baby. Well today she weighed in at 6lb, 5 oz which means she gained almost 12 ounces in just 8 days! Woohoo! Grow, baby, grow! Looks like all those painful latches and cluster feeds are paying off! It's almost her due date and she will actually weigh a "normal" newborn weight when it gets here! Yay baby Lyla! Last week she had gained 4 ounces in 7 days which was just barely acceptable so this is big!
What a great weight gain! My first was also under 36 weeks and under 6lbs. It was a never ending job to watch his weight in the beginning. Keep up the awesome work.
I give up trying to get a ticker. I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome. Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself. Hmmm. How about...

Re: Can I brag about my piglet?
Congrats! That really is exciting.
My first was born 2 weeks early and less than 6 pounds so I remember well having to watch the scale in the first few weeks.
My baby was a 38 weeker and she was 7 lbs 12 oz... now I know why everyone at the hospital is telling me she is a big girl! LOL
Aw! That's great news! Go Lyla!
