We saw the heart beat at just shy of 8 weeks last Tuesday, and our next appointment is next Monday (12/27) at which I will be just shy of 11 weeks. I really hope that we can hear the heart beat at that appointment. How far along were you when you heard the baby's heart beat?
We're going on the exact same day and hoping to hear it too! Good luck!

9w 4d, at our dr. appointment through the ultrasound. Our next appointment is January 5th and we're suppose to hear it with the doppler then (I'll be almost 14 weeks).
(no offense to the person who posted they found it with their home doppler at 8.5 weeks, but that's virtually impossible and it usually ends up the person is hearing something else).
I have a 1 year old daughter and listened to her hb beginning at 9 1/2 weeks last time, so this was only about a week earlier. I think I know what I'm listening for. Also, it's a digital doppler (and a very expensive one at that) and I can say without hesitation that the hb pumping in the 170's I have listened to over and over was not my own. Trust me, I know the difference. Ask your doctor - with a good doppler, proper positioning of it/the fetus and possibly a lot of patience, it is FAR from impossible.
we went in for our first ob appointment and the doctors insisted that i was 12 week. knowing i have an outrageously long cycle, i knew that i was no where near 12 weeks. during the exam they used that little heart beat machine thing (sorry new to this don't know the names of devices) and could hear the heart beat loud and clear! Which didn't make it look like i was closer to the 8 weeks that i thought. so they sent me into get an ultrasound so they could measure and tell us a due date. It did turn out that i was 8+ weeks. on the external ultrasound we could see and hear the heartbeat as well. amazing!
Re: When did you hear the h/b?
