I didn't have an ultrasound right before birth but had one at about 34 weeks and based on that the dr. predicted my DD to be about 6.5 to 7 pounds. She was born at 6 lbs 2 oz, so it was a little high in my case. My little girl is teeny.

with DS#1 I was told by 40 weeks he would be 9lbs, he was born at 40w5d and weighed 8lbs 14oz. with DS#2 I was told he would weigh around 8lbs8oz by 38weeks, he was born 38w1d and weighed 8lbs2oz
I only had a weight prediction at 31 weeks, but the doctor claimed DS would be in the 40-50% (whatever weight that might be). He turned out to be in the 90th! (He was nearly 9 pounds).
My 36 wk Ultrasound shows DD @ 7 lb 9 oz. She was born at 37 weeks and weighed 6 lb 13 oz. My dr said ultrasounds can be off by 1 pound either way. In my case, she was obviously lighter than predicted. But I have seen a lot of people where their LO weighed more than predicted.

I got a growth u/s done the day before my scheduled induction at 41 1/2 weeks and they estimated that my LO was 8lbs. 1oz. and she was 7lbs. 7oz. when born the next day.

I had a growth u/s every 4 weeks due to IUGR. They estimated DD's weight to be 6lbs 8oz at 39 weeks. She was born 6lbs 5oz at what they thought was 39 weeks, however, they determined after I had her that my u/s were off and she was actually 38 weeks gestational age.
I had 2 u/s the week before DS was born due to GD. At 38.5 weeks they estimated him already at 9lbs 6oz. At 39.5 weeks they estimated him at 10lbs. He was 8lbs 1oz when he was born (c-section) two days later. So, obviously WAY off in my case.
mmc @ 14 weeks - November 2009. Missed every day.

Thanks everyone Lots of varied weights, so thats good.... I feel like he's bigger, but its probably just because its 25lbs total lol. Hopefully they're just underestimating!
at 36 weeks 5 days they told me she was 8 lbs 8 oz. i had a scheduled c-section (because of that) at 38 weeks 3 days and she was 9 lbs 3 oz. so they were accurate.
haha... Funny you ask.... At 38 weeks they estimated her weight to be 7 lbs 9 oz... She had to be delivered by c section at 40 weeks because despite induction I couldn't get past 1-2 cm... She weighed 9 lbs 4 oz... WAY off!!!

This is what I'm hoping for! I don't want him to not fit, but I want a good-sized baby, you know? Off by 2lbs is a lot!! My gut feeling is that he's bigger so I guess I'll just wait & see.....
They predicted M to be 8 pounds 11 ounces, and she was 8 pounds 5 ounces. There are so many things that can make their measurements be off- don't be too concerned!
I had a growth ultrasound 4 days before I delivered and they told me 8 lbs 0 ounces. When Landon was born he weighed 9 lbs 5 ounces, so they were off quite a bit.
I didn't have an ultrasound for weight done, but my midwife felt my belly and said 'whoa thats going to be a big baby!' At 36 weeks she was predicting she was over 7lbs and if I went to 40 she would be 8/9 lbs. Baby was born on 12/13 at a shocking tiny 6lbs 5oz! I had braced myself to push out a big baby but when they put her on me I could not beleive how tiny she is.
I had a growth U/S at 35 weeks and LO was 6lb 7oz at that point- which would predict him to be about 9 1/2 lb at birth. I had a c/s a week before my due date and he was 8lb 15oz- so it was right on!!
With DS1 he measured 6lb 7oz at 34 weeks, and I also had another u/s 3 days before he was born- it said he was 9lb 4oz, and he was 9lb 11oz at birth.
So for my guys they were pretty damn accurate! I think the tech doing it has a lot to do with it, and they also told me if baby has a large abdomen it will throw the weight estimates off big time.
I had two growth U/S during the 38th week, both predicting him to be 9lbs 2 oz.
We was born at exactly 39 weeks weighing 9lbs 13 oz. I count my blessings for the existence of this technology - I certainly don't regret getting a c-section as the doctors suggested. There was no way that this moose was going to exit my petite body any other way.

U/S at 39 weeks estimated DD at 8 lbs. 12 oz. I delivered at 40 weeks, 4 days. This estimate would have her at close to 10 lbs by then. She was born 7 lbs. 8 oz.
I will say that according to the tape measure that the dr. did weekly, I was only measuring about 37 weeks when I was 39 weeks, so the two were definitely far apart. My OB really didn't agree with the u/s estimate because I didn't measure that large the whole time. The only reason I got that u/s in the first place was because we were flagged for a study a doc in the office was doing.
