DD has taken up to 8 steps. I don't officially consider her a walker though because I don't think she does it on purpose. It's totally random when she does take steps and sometimes she'll go days without.
I think I'll consider her a walker when she starts mostly walking to get around.
i dont know how many we are counting bc some days it is 6 or 7 other days my daughter is up to 11 steps. she cruises, crawler and walks so we just praise evrytime she walks. i hope these helped
I didn't really care so much about number of steps as I did her choosing to get from point A to point B by walking. Like, if she was sitting on the ground and saw the cat at the other end of the room, and purposely got up and toddled over to the cat--I think that is walking, not just random steps--even though she fell down once on the way and got back up and continued walking.
