1st Trimester
Tums is ok, right?
Since we just found out on Friday and I don't go to the doc till a week from today, I don't have a list of what's ok and what's not ok to take yet. All I know is that I've had heartburn like NO OTHER since yesterday afternoon!!!
I finally broke down and ate 1 Tums last night, and that really seemed to help, but I wanted to make sure they're ok before I take any more. I know this might be a stupid question since essentially all they are are calcium, but I figured I would ask you girls rather than calling my doc.
So please forgive me, but are they ok???

Here is an awesome website you can look medications up on and it will give you the fda rating and possible risks, if any, for pg or bfing women. And tums are fine- I ate them like candy in the 3d tri!

My Dr did ok Tums. I am still taking them, especially at night when my heartburn is at it's worst.
And the calcium is good for you. Read the label to make sure you are not taking too much.
