I have the urge to pee all day long about every other day. It's not the normal frequent need to pee that you get from being pregnant. I have that too, but this is more of that UTI/bladder infection feeling where you know there's nothing in there but you feel like you have to run to the bathroom.
I was tested for a UTI about 2 weeks ago and nothing. Anyone else have this or talked to their Dr about it?
Re: Why do I feel like I have a UTI all the time?
I have this!!! It's been going on for the past two appointments (so for two months) and every time they test, the pee is clean. My docs said it's just the way the baby is pressing against my bladder. As long as there is no pain while I'm trying to urinate, everything is cool.
I've had plenty of kidney infections as a kid, so I'm very familiar with that feeling - it's just like right now except no pain. It wigs me out. I guess it's just one of those pregnant things.
This! When I lay on my left side it happens. Every time.
Did you have any issues with frequency or bladder before getting pregnant?
I have Interstitial Cystitis which is a chronic bladder condition that esentially makes you feel like you have a bladder infection all the time even though you don't. I don't have pain when I actually pee but I feel like I have to go all the time, BAD even when I know I don't and I have a lot of pain. I was diagnosed before my first DS and for me it gets really bad during during pregancy. A low or no acid diet is very helpful in controlling the symptoms so you may want to consider doing a google search on "IC diet" eliminating the biggest irritants and see if that helps.
Hope you feel better. That is miserable.
