I am having a really hard time finding bedding that I like. We are doing the nursery in a owls & birds theme. We are not finding out the sex of the baby so I am looking for something that is not gender specific with bright colors. I am at the point where I just might by a solid bedding set and accent with the birds and owls.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated:)
Re: Help needed with Nursery Bedding
If you go to this website: https://www.babybedding.com/designer
You can design your own bedding and they have an Owl pattern and a Bird pattern that you could work with.

Finding the perfect crib bedding to go with your decorating ideas is always tricky! In fact, it's almost an impossible feat!
I would recommend:
1- Go with solid or patterned bedding with a similar color palette as the owls and birds accents you're incorporating in the room.
2- https://www.roomsbyyou.com/ it's awesome!
3- Make your own crib sheets! There's an easy how-to on this site.
Good luck!
I couldn't find anything I liked either so I searched for a fabric and had RockyTopDesigns on Etsy make it for me (there are tons of others who do crib bedding too). I personally love the Alexander Henry fabrics. Below are a few that IMO are fairly gender nuetral. They all come in different color combinations as well. I purchased the bed skirt and valance, got a breathable bumper and a solid colored sheet and had some pillows for the glider made from the same fabric. I ended up spending less than I would have for a bedding set from most stores.
AH- "Starlings"
AH- "Spotted Owl"
AH- "Bird Seed"
I was in your exact position! I wanted bright colors and gender neutral - so I decided to make it myself. If you are crafty (or your mom or MIL), I would suggest hitting a fabric store and seeing what you find there.
I found a great fabric with bright colors and now I'm going to have a custom nursery that fits all of our wants/needs! All for less $$ than the most simple nursery set!
If $$ is no object you could always find someone on Etsy to make the set for you - you buy the fabric and they do the sewing. GL!
