Just got my BFP and now scatching like a tweaker!

in 1st Trimester

Just got my BFP yesterday and all last night I started iching like a mad woman!  No rash or anything but random itching all over.  It's driving me nuts. 

Does anyone know how long I can expect this to last or have any good suggestions? I am praying this is tmeporary and not going to last the whole first trimester??

    lol I have never heard of a tweaker and never had itching as a symptom.  Maybe it is not pregnancy related!  Anyway congrats to you!

    A tweaker is someone who sells illegal substances like meth. :)

    I have to say, I'm going through the same thing. I had chalked it up to the temperature drop and air drying. But I've been itching like crazy all over for the past two weeks. I mean, it keeps me up at night. It's absolutely unbearable. Still not sure if it's pregnancy related.

    I am itching so bad I have made my arms bleed.  It is VERY annoying and I find that nothing helps.  I have heard to try showering every other day and avoiding hot showers helps.  At night I seriously want to peel off my skin.

    Are you moisturizing after every shower?  Dry skin itches.  Also, try an oatmeal bath.

    As for the OP, increased blood flow makes me itch.  That could be your issue, or it could be something completely unrelated to pregnancy.  If it's a real problem, call your doctor!

    A tweaker is a meth addict, not a drug dealer. Anyway, I'm sort of itchy myself. Aveeno oatmeal lotion seems to help a little.
