Caleigh

This is friend's top girl name.

WDYT?

It's pronounced like Kaylee.

I dislike, but it's not my kid to name so I don't say anything negative to her.

Re: Caleigh

  • woof. When I first read it, I prn like Callie.
  • That name was on the top of my list a few years ago, spelling and all. I still like it, just not as much.

  • Meh, too trendy for me. And it also reminds me of that horrible case in Florida.

  • The name itself seems trendy to me, add in the unique spelling and it's totally nms.
  • If she wants it to be pronounced as if it starts with a K then she should spell it that way.

Caleigh is a lovely name, but it is pronounced like Callie.

  • I know a 20something year old named Caleigh and it is pronounced like Kaylee, so maybe not a trend. And I like it :)

  • Pretty bad spelling.
  • I don't care for it--the uncertainty of proper pronunciation and the trendy spelling are two big negatives, IMO.

  • the way that is spelled should be pronounced cal- ee

  • I like that name, just not that spelling.  I know someone who named her daughter this and also butchered the spelling.  It's sad that this is a name that seems to draw unique (and incorrect) spellings!
